Our Rights Being Taken Away

I don't even know where to start. We just put in a new president for our country 4 days ago and look what has already happened! Our country is going down hill... not sllllooowwwllllyyyy but fast! I am so upset. Our president signed a bill today and our tax dollars are now going to help pay and promote abortion. This is not why David and I work. And now we are looking at the Freedom of Choice Act!! If you don't know about it, click on the link and do some reading.
Here a woman can be pregnant and have a baby, wrap it up and throw it away in the trash, she will become convicted and sentence to jail. If you have a baby at home and it dies and you do not report it (or even if you do), you can get in trouble with the law. If you abuse an animal you will be fined and/or spend some time in jail... yet a 14 year old girl who found out she is pregnant and does not want to face her parents can go to any hospital and have an abortion and it's OK. All hospitals, no matter what their believes are, will have to perform abortions, along with all doctors. If you are 8 months pregnant and decide you don't want this baby, you can have an abortion and if the baby survives it, then they can place him/or her in a room and let him/or her starve to death! Where is this country going? We need to stop this "Freedom of Choice Act" from passing. If it does pass, so many of our rights will be taken away and so many of Heavenly Father's children will be murdered. There are so many families who would love to adopt a baby. Why don't they give your baby to a loving family instead of kill it? We are all going to pay the price for our sins and killing an innocent child in womb is a BIG sin.
I don't understand doctors who perform these abortions. I have had 6 miscarriages and one of them I lost when he was 10 weeks old. He was perfect, little toes, fingers, eyes, nose, mouth, etc. He was perfect! How can you say they are not babies?
Please if you have not sign the petition on the sidebar here, go there and sign it. Let's try to stop this man from killing millions of babies. Also, pray and fast that Heavenly Father will soften his heart.

GARLIC

What an amazing plant!!! A couple of days ago I started having pain in my lower left jaw. It would radiate up and down. I had no swelling or redness, just pain. The next day two of my teeth felt like there was a lot of pressure around them, besides the pain in my jaw. Last night day almost 3, I went to bed early as I was tired yet I couldn't sleep because of the pain I was feeling. I took some Excidren and that did not touch it. Finally after two hours of lying awake in bed I got up and decided to do some research on the internet. David and I were thinking from the sound of it all that I had a tooth abcess. There was one site I found and 25 people talked about using raw garlic on an abcess. I didn't have any "raw" garlic only minced, so I put some minced garlic on a cotton ball and placed it in my mouth between my cheek and gum. I held it their between 15 to 30 minutes and then I noticed I had no pain in my jaw. I was able to sleep without any pain. I woke up this morning and still had no pain in my jaw yet my teeth still had the pressure and I could hardly bite down on them. I finally went to the store and bought some cloves of garlic. Came home and cut one in half and put on with the cut side against one side of the gum and the other on the other side of the gum next to the teeth that were giving me problems. I kept it their for about 45 minutes. I would bite down on the garlic ever so often to release some more juice...Now let me tell you how it burns like crazy. After doing this for about 45 minutes to 1 hour I had no pain at all and was able to bite down without feeling any pressure. Garlic works for abcess. I am a firm believer and will always have garlic in my house. I will continue doing this for a week just to make sure the abcess is completely gone.
So moral of the story...If you have an abcess, chew on some garlic! :>)

(Those who are around me...if I smell like garlic you will know why)

How to Get Your Kids to Clean

I know all parents would love to know the secret. Well I have found the answer. For the last two days my kids have been cleaning like mad men. They have cleaned my bathroom, the cupboards, game shelf, vacuumed, etc. Look here you can see for yourself.

So, you are asking...how did I get them to clean????

Well here is the answer!!!!

You say stuffed animals.... I say NO,
WENKINZ!!!
My kids have learned about Webkinz during Christmas when Nephi and Eilish each received one. They then received money from their Grandma and they all bought a Webkinz. So Nephi and Eilish had two and Brandon had one. Weeks later we went to a store and they saw these Webkinz. I told them I would buy them yet they had to buy them from me. That is what DID IT!!! The kids would of done anything in order to get these Webkinz. So I would pay so much money for each chore (that was not their regular)they did. If you don't know about them, then go to www.webkinz.com and you will learn a lot.
And this is how you get your kids to clean!!

New Years Goals

If I say New Years Resolutions, then I will blow it. Who doesn't? I am sure some one in the world keeps theirs, yet if I say goals then I will be able to keep them. Who would guess?

My main goal this year is to loose weight and get healthy for myself and my family. It is time I stop being lazy and get back on the ball! I look at my picture from two years ago and I think what have I done. I undid everything I worked hard at getting. So, this is the year and then I need to stay that way. This is why I started a blog for weight loss. I do a lot better if I have competition or am helping others on their journey to a more slender person.

Happy New Year!!!

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope this first New Year's day has been good for everyone. I was thinking so many people in the world write down their New Years resolutions, yet I am going to write down some goals instead (I know it is about the same thing, just different name).
May this year be filled with Happiness, Love and Peace.

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas as I sure all of you had also. I think of our Christmas' and feel like most of them are like "The Little House on the Prairie", very simple. The kids did great on their presents. It is always interesting to see what they will come up with each year. Some times they need my help for ideas and some times not.
This year Brandon did...

Dad...coupon for a pie

Mom....."Love, Peace and Happiness", he was so excited about this gift. Telling me it was the best present he has ever given me. He went on the computer and printed a slip of paper with the words Love, peace and happiness on it as this is what I told him I wanted for Christmas.

Nephi....Car wallet (holds up to 5 matchbox cars)
Eilish.....Stuffed bear with a dress (made own pattern)Nephi made....

Dad........Trail mix

Mom......Neck supporter (he made his own pattern)

Brandon.....Stuffed bear (again, made his own pattern)

Eilish........Bow holder (for all her hair bows)
Eilish made.....

Dad.........Pillow with a drawing she made on it

Brandon.........same as dad
Nephi.........same as dad

I was talking to a friend a couple of days ago. She asked what I received for Christmas. I told her and mentioned I received nothing from Eilish as she needed help and no one helped her. After the conversation was done (not knowing she was around), she came up to me and handed me a cat I helped her make months ago. She told me it was a late Christmas present from her to me. What a sweet child!!

Here is some of the things the kids received.

I made each of them a Pillow Pal. It turned out MUCH bigger than I expected yet the kids love them. Great Body pillow. If you look at Eilish...her pillow pal is bigger than she is. On the front of each is their nicknames. Brandon...Bugaboo, Nephi...scooter, and Eilish...Missy Moose (don't tell the kids I told you their names).

The boys love hot sauce and they use so much of the stuff on their food, that I decided to give them both a bottle in their stocking. You can see from Nephi's expression what he thought of it.

I decided the kids needed new swimming suits (as this went along with the theme of our Christmas). I get so frustrated with swimming suits, as for all our lives we are taught to stay modest and then it is OK to take most of our clothes off in order to get into the water. I even look at one piece suits and to me how immodest they are. I found this site online where they sell modest swimming suits. So, I bought a pattern and made this suit for Eilish. I love it! I have a pattern for myself and need to make mine.

This year for Christmas we decided since David has been away from the family for so long we would take a vacation for Christmas. We don't have the funds for a "big" vacation so we will be going to Anchorage, Alaska. We gave the kids gifts that would go along with the vacation, beach towels, water toys, swimming suits, etc. The last gift was a vacation package, which included a map, itinerary, brochures of places we will be visiting (Zoo, Alaska Heritage center, H20aises,etc) and a ticket to ride the "Coyle Limousine". Because I don't drive, ride etc in the snow our vacation will have to wait until the spring. In the meantime, the kids received a calendar to mark off the dates and each month there is a day marked with an activity they will be doing in order to get ready for the vacation. We don't care were we go as long as we can be together as a family!
